Question: Who agrees with me that Obama is not sharing specifics on why he wants a Democrat Senate?

These are HIS OWN WORDS. Note that if you read between the lines, you see that with either him or Hillary, we will get Supreme Court Justices that create law based on their own view of international law. This is how we get decisions like Kelo versus New London (Connecticut) where a local government can confiscate private homes/land for developers, not just for “access” or “improvement” but (now) for increasing the “tax base”. Free markets only work with the separation of powers delineated in the Constitution; that is, the separation of powers between the executive, judicial, and legislative branches (e.g. the legislature creates law, not the judiciary); and all rights/powers not specifically mentioned in the Constitution are left to the States and the People, respectively.

We may be left with a country we do not recognize.

Agree. None of them are sharing specifics. Are you watching the fake debates? Even with everything totally staged, they still say nothing.

Obama doesn’t have to be specific as long as the public is mesmerized by his articulation, and don’t look to see if there’s substance. Senator Clinton has specific plans that she talks about. Likely, both candidates want a democratic senate, make it easier to get bills passed.

SO very true. In fact this country is and has been changing in a direction which is NOT good for the American Citizen for quite awhile now. That is why I keep yelling, WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!! Research, research, research for your candidate. What comes “out of their mouths” during this time, is not always the case of what is to come if they are elected.

    agree

If you feel they say nothign then you are not paying attention.

Obama says it all in the speech that is referenced.
We as American’s have had enough of being pushed around by corporations, we have had enough of a reliance on foreign oil and we have had enough of nothing being down about healthcare. Of course Obama would love to see his party with a majority. And it has happened, although minor. What is funny is the diatribe referenced in the link was written in May of 2006 before the Elections where the dems did take back the House and the Senate. And the author of that Article seemed to think it wasn’t possible.

We are lliving proof of that right now (your final line in your question). When George Bush presented the people with the Patriot Act, it completely changed the framework on which this country was founded. As it stands, the only “separation of powers” that exists, is the separation from the powerful government now in place – from the citizens. I haven’t recognized my country now for quite a while. And I think it will be even less recognizable if we administer power to Obama. What we learn as a child, our distant past and not so distant past, how we are molded in those very early years, helps to make up the person we are today. This is where the trouble comes in for me – related to Obama. Strong American roots will be the first quality I look for in the next president – whoever he or she may be.

  • Just my opinion:

It makes a lot of sense. He wouldn’t be able to get anything done with a Republican Senate he needs people around who share his views or he will have a hard time getting bills passed.
