Question: Using home decor fabric for clothing?
I’m having a woman in the US (I’m in the UK) create a dress for me. Because of expense, I want to buy the fabric off of a US website and have it sent to her. However, the fabric patterns I like the best are listed as “home decor” fabrics. I have no problem wearing thicker, old fashioned fabrics, but I was wondering if there is any reason why these fabrics wouldn’t be suitable for clothing?

Higher thread count and much thicker. Garment will not drape due to stiffness. Why not give the seamstress the website of fabric you like and let her find suitable garment fabric with a similar design

Pillsbury dough- cook flat, in a rectangular pan/shape- cool.

Spread cream cheese on it. Add some shredded cheese (any kind)

Top with finely chopped broccoli, green onions, red peppers

Simple and yum!
