You are tired of looking at your dreary walls and rusty pipes in your bathroom. Time to fix up that bathroom. However, you just don’t know where to begin or what to do with that dingy floor tile. You need the opinion of someone who knows what they’re doing. What you need is a bathroom remodeling planner.

Reduce Renovation Stress by Hiring a Bathroom Remodeling Planner

You might think that bathroom remodeling planners are a luxury, and in some ways they are. Investing in a planner can help you keep your project on or under budget. Also, while remodeling can be a fun process, it can also be a stressful process, what with first choosing the most durable materials and making sure they look good. This is where bathroom remodeling planners come in handy.

Another thing that you might be concerned about is conflicting ideas. What’s the sense in paying the professional fee for a bathroom space planner to get an end product that you’re not happy with?

A professional bathroom remodeling planner is there to help you and fulfill your wishes. You will be actively involved with every aspect of the remodeling process, in that everything should be clearly explained and/or demonstrated. First, you will want to schedule a meeting between you and the bathroom remodeling planner. During this first meeting, you will want to discuss with the planner all your ideas and dreams, and present some drawings so the planner can visualize what it is you want.

If you have a specific budget you are looking to complete the project within, make sure that you bring this up to the bathroom remodeling planner, as well. If your planner does not have a catalogue of the materials you will need, you will need to find a home renovation store and price out your project from there.

Not every bathroom remodel planner carries out the same services as the other. They might be a special section of a contractor’s business, or they might be the contractor and the planner at the same time. So, take your time, look at all of your available options, and you are sure to find the right planner for you with the proper research.

Because no two bathrooms are the same, no two costs of bathroom renovations will be the same. Very similar bathrooms can still have very different price of a bathroom remodel depending on what needs to be done in the renovation.  There are so many variables to keep in mind which contribute significantly to costs.

Size Of The Floor Space

Getting a good idea of the size of the area you are remodeling will give you a more precise idea of what the price of bathroom renovations will be.  Even if you aren’t planning on changing the floors, you’ll need to know the square footage of the walls.  Knowing exactly how much space you are working with will determine what materials you need and how much you can purchase within your budget.  It may be helpful to draw yourself a little diagram and jot down all the measurements you take.  Always err on the high side if you need to make a guess on a measurement.  This way you’ll be sure to get enough materials.

Choosing Materials

The cost of your bathroom renovation will be more accurate if you consider the type of materials you want to use.  For example, you may want to put in granite countertops or custom cabinets, but they can be very expensive.  To watch the cost and get the look you are going for, try mixing in some expensive accents with more general pieces.  The cost of your bathroom renovation can be reduced if you choose one over the other.  For example, you could choose the counter top and put it on a less expensive cabinet.  You may want to tile the floors, walls, or just the shower walls.  Knowing what you want to do and what materials you want to use will help you determine if you can afford to make those changes.

Choosing A Contractor

Shop around for a few different estimates before choosing a contractor  Make sure the contractors give you estimates in writing.  Most contractor estimates are free.  Your estimate should outline the cost of the project and the timeframe in which it will be completed.  You should only try to attempt a bathroom renovation on your own if you have experience.  Not having the experience can also dramatically increase the cost of your bathroom renovation.

There are other tools available online, like remodeling cost calculators, if you don’t have the time to meet with several contractors regarding your bathroom.  Just enter your bathroom measurements and materials into the calculator and let it work it’s magic!

In a changing world, one thing remains constant.  People need a place to live.  Putting money into your home, such as a master bathroom makeover, is a sure investment, mush more than the fickle world of the stock market, vehicles or even collectables.  And, not only is this investment good for your future finances, but it has practical results for you in a more pleasant bathroom to relax and be yourself in.

Are Loans An Option?

Most likely, you will not be lucky enough to afford to pay for your master bathroom renovation all at once.  Kitchens and bathrooms, according to any home repair show you watch, are consistently the most expensive parts of the home to renovate.  This is because of the plumbing involved.   Other rooms are less expensive to renovate, because the only thing to consider is electricity.  Bathrooms are major projects, not only because of the plumbing, but because many of the components are installed.

Don’t be surprised if you do need a loan to pay for the renovations.  Depending on your credit rating, you can go to your local bank or a professional lending institution for your loan.  Banks do not specialize in loans, so often cannot give the perks or lower interest rates of these professional lending institutions.  Banks have other advantages like knowing the local master bathroom makeover contractors and giving more consideration to local customers.

Breaking Down Your Loan Payments

You’ll need to understand your loan terms are what your monthly loan payment will be before you decided which loan to go with.  When you go shopping, keep in mind that you are getting estimates only, because doing a master bathroom renovation my require more or less in the costs of materials or labor.

You are best off getting a few estimates for your master bathroom renovation in writing first before you apply for a home renovation loan.  You can do online loan comparisons once you have all of information together, which can save time.

Be sure to talk with your accountant or tax professional after you get your loan.  You may be entitled to a tax refund, rebate, or credit.
