I think i made a mistake and threw away my house keys. If i tell my dad he is gonna be mad. Its the first time i ever lost it and i had the keys for a long time, should i go to a locksmith with my mom? or how does it work? Do they remake the key what do they do? im not locked outside
Answer:
Fess up. Something like “I’m sorry but …, you’re so smart, you would know the best way to resolve this, that’s why I’m coming to you, blah, blah, blah” It is much easier (and much much cheaper) to duplicate a key than to have a locksmith come out and pick the lock and make a key. Also, is there anything with the key that would identify what address it is for? If so, you should change the lock for security reasons. That would mean that anyone else that has a key would need a new one also.
